Cataflam

Cataflam strong pain relief for those with acute painful and inflammatory conditions is also known as Voltaren or Solaraze. Cataflam is an antipyretic and contains the active ingredient diclofenac potassium that is particularly effective at lowering temperature in cases where there is an infection of the ear, nose or throat. As an antipyretic cataflam is effective at reducing temperatures in or quelling fevers.

Cataflam is available in packs of 30 with each cataflam tablet containing 25mg of diclofenac potassium. Cataflam can be used for such painful and inflammatory conditions as period pain, back pain or backache, migraine headaches, neck pain, tension headaches, ankle pain or sprains, muscle pain or strains, bruises, fever, shoulder pain, lower back pain, post operative pain following dental surgery or minor surgery. Cataflam is a fast acting pain relief medication and is effective usually within 15 to 30 minutes.

Directions:

Cataflam should not be taken by children under 14 years of age. Cataflam tablets should be swallowed quickly with liquid. Although Cataflam tablets work faster if taken before meals if you are prone to gastric discomfort it is recommended that you take them immediately after a meal. Adults initially take 2 Cataflam tablets. Then take 1 or 2 tablets every 8 hours as required. Do not exceed 6 tablets a day.

Adults with migraine initially take 2 Cataflam tablets. Then take 1 or 2 tablets after 2 hours as required. Do not exceed 6 tablets a day. Children over 14 years of age initially take 1 Cataflam tablet. Then take 1 tablet every 8 hours as required. Elderly people may be more sensitive to the effects of Cataflam and should try to take the lowest effective dosage for their condition.

Cautions:

Do not take Cataflam if you suffer from a stomach ulcer. Do not take Cataflam if you have ever had an allergic reaction or asthma attack after taking diclofenac or any other anti-inflammatory medication such as aspirin. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Cataflam if you suffer from asthma, have heart, kidney or liver disease, have high blood pressure, or have a bleeding disorder. Do not take Cataflam if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. You should not take Cataflam if you are pregnant or breast-feeding except under medical supervision. If you are currently taking other medications, or if you are unsure about any of the restrictions, then check with your doctor or pharmacist before you commence using Cataflam. Keep out of the reach of children. If symptoms persist, or you develop new symptoms, see your doctor. Carefully read packaging for any other possible restrictions.
